title: The Journey of the Cross Hi all,
As we approach the Holy Week (the last week of our Lord's life on earth 2000 years ago). Here's a poem for us to ponder..... M.Y. The Journey of the Cross As I follow the journey of the cross, I was in the crowd watching, As the Roman soldiers mocked and spat at the Lord, His face is disfigured by continuous punches, Smeared by countless spittle. His head is pierced by the crown of thorns. Then the Lord was brought to be scourged, Where He was whipped by heartless men, Like an animal is whipped by its cold-blooded owner, Blood flowed from His body and soaked the floor in red. Lastly, the King of kings was crucified with criminals, Mocked by passer-bys and sneered by by-standers, But He asked God the Father to forgive their ignorance. My heart aches within me, Instinctively I start crying out to Him: "Why Lord? Why do You allow Yourself to suffer like this?" The Lord looked at me with a smile, And said: "I suffer for you My child. I came to rescue you From sin and eternal death." As I looked at my hands, I saw the hammer and the nails, That nailed my Saviour to the cross. Then I realised I was one of those Who murdered Him, I was one of the culprits! The Lord shed His blood for me! So that I can be reconciled with God! |

title: God will stand till the end Hi all,Let's be reminded that our security lies in God and not in the things created by Him. When we substitute God with others things, they becomes our idols in our lives that will fail us one day. God reminds us: " ...declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all My purpose...'" (Isaiah 46:10) Let's spur one another to trust in the Lord always! M.Y. Daily Devotional, March 11thPosted to 1 Kings 18:21 on Mar 8, 2010 at 12:11 PM “Hedging bets” |

title: Children trained to be suicide bombers Hi all,
Let's remember and pray for the children in countries where poverty is a norm and hatred is been taught by extremist groups that advocate murder in the name of religious beliefs and make use of innocent children as their tools. And let's pray for our children and youths in our church to be strong in the faith of the Lord and the ability to discern between what is good and evil based on the the word of God, the Bible. M.Y. |

title: Look unto Jesus Hi all,
Here's a poem of comfort written by a person who is constantly struggling with his physical diseases. Hope it will bring comfort to those of us who are struggling. M.Y. LOOK UNTO JESUS When we are trapped, Surrounded by the walls of impossibility, Look unto Jesus, The God of the impossible. When storms threaten us, And we are overwhelmed by them, Look unto Jesus, The Lord who walks in the midst of the storm. When things do not go our way, Which makes our hopes and dreams shatter, Look unto Jesus, The Giver of Heavenly peace, And the Comforter of our souls, Who will always be there, Whenever we need Him. |
