Hello G2s,

This is Pastor Carrie here. You know, as we near the Good Friday hols and Easter Celebrations, no doubt, you will hear stuff about Jesus and Christianity. The character of Jesus Christ looms large in the history of the world. Indeed, Jesus Christ has influenced more people and cultures than anyone else.

But the "new critics" and popular culture have distorted truths about the greatest man in history. Every now and then since a few years ago, there have been regular stuff churned out by those who are anti-Christian and their intention is really to distract people from who the historical and biblical Jesus is. Stuff like DaVinci Code, Compass, The Gospel of Thomas, Secret Gospels, Tombs discovered ...etc., constantly make use of popular culture and unbiblical and unscholarly material to distort truths about Jesus so as to discredit Christianity and its claims.

We really cannot remain aloof and ignorant in our own ivory towers but be aware and equipped to address some of these issues. Some helpful links for you to read up are:

Additional practice for Thrash Percussion &
Hip Hop dance has already been planned

When: 11th April 2009 (Sat)
Time: 10am-2pm
Venue: AGhome

Meet in Church (AGPC) by 9.15am

2) After the practices, we planned to go for an
outing eg: Ice Skating, Movie or Bowling.

So free urself on that day and lets enjoy.. :)

Mr Michael Yong has been with SYFC for 23 years.. His passion is still for teens to know Christ.

The Word Praxis means 'practice'. What you know, practice it..do it - faith without works is dead! Are you a practicing Christian? At school, at work and at play - let's be real..

Room seems crampy but everyone still cosy - do remember to come in pants this Sun and next. Two more weeks at the Kindergarten rooms.

Let's see, Gospel Outline:

#1 God is the One who created us and He is the fountain of living waters.

#2 Man has sinned against God by refusing to trust and obey God - consequently, man no longer functions in the way God had designed him to be.

#3 Gospel is about rescuing man from sin

#4 God sent Jesus Christ as the answer to the sinner. By His death on the cross, he took the punishment that was meant for us. This is the greatest rescue ever..

#5 To be restored to God and His eternal purposes requires simply faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. As a result we will once again be able to trust and obey God.

Let's get ready and begin to pray for friends we can share the gospel with. Will you also invite them to Playmax? June 12 & 13. Don't forget this date...
